Margaret Ann Ebersol was born November 4, 1939, in Detroit, Michigan to Henry David Ebersol and Doris May Hutchens. She married Richard Allen Stokes on June 9, 1962. She worked as an elementary school teacher for 35 years. She had two sons, Alan and Michael. She received her undergraduate degree from Indiana Wesleyan University and earned her Masters of Education from Michigan State University. She enjoyed making afghans, ceramics, studying the Bible, serving at her church (Mount Pleasant First Church of the Nazarene), and spending time with her family. She died on April 20, 2016, at her home following a steady decline from the effects of dementia. Her obituary is online at Legacy.com. Her interment is in the Memorial Gardens in Mount Pleasant, Michigan.
