My Favorite 40 IPhone Apps of 2012

It's time for our 3rd Annual blog post on favorite iPhone Apps.

This year we finally upgraded from a iPhone 3GS to the iPhone 5, which is the new standard that most Apps are slowly being updated for.

Please leave thoughts in the comment spot on this post if you agree with any of these selections or if you have other top Apps for readers of this blog to check out. I have a bias for official Apps when it comes to social media.

Because less is more, we have the app name, a short reason why it made the list, along with a link to go to the Apps iTunes store page. The top 8 Apps have videos embeded on them. I wanted to reward developers who update their Apps, so all of these App were updated in 2012.  There are a few others that would have made this list, but they have not been updated and their future is uncertain.

5 Songs In Memory of the World Not Ending

We have been informed that the ancient Mayan civilization ended their calendar on this day.  But most people don't have the language skills to verify that point, we just have to take the word of those super intelligent and focused people who dedicated their life to learn how to read the Mayan language. Some people thought that the world would end today, but it looks like the world will go on. It's just the Mayan calendar that will officially end today (Source).

Let's celebrate! Here are five songs to listen to tonight in memory of the world not ending. Let it be a tribute, sigh of relief, or reflection (depending on your perspective) on the Mayan prophecy on the end of the world not coming true.

Frank Sinatra - My Way

Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton - We've Got Tonight

Brooks & Dunn - This Is Where The Cowboy Rides Away

Skeeter Davis - The End of the World

Michael W. Smith - My Place In This World

And in case you are disappointed the world didn't actually end, don't worry, history says that it won't be too many more years until another complex theory surfaces that will involve a new date for the world ending. Those of us older enough to walk are old enough to recall the last time someone claimed they knew the end was near. And rest assured the world as we know it will end for us someday, but no one writes that date on their calendar. Our expiration date is a mystery, and life is lived better leaving it that way.
